Accounts
Usernames are now handles
Your account, saves and chats are the same. Only the name changed.
What a handle is
A handle is your name on this site, written with an @ in front, like @jiayang. It is 3 to 16 characters and uses only letters, numbers and dashes. Capital letters do not matter: @Jiayang and @jiayang are the same handle.
You never have to type the @. It is only shown.
Signing in
Nothing changes. Your old username and password still work, typed exactly as before. Your handle works too.
Chat
Your chats, messages and friends are unchanged. To add someone, type their handle.
What happened to my username
- It already fit the rules
- It is your handle now, in lowercase.
- It had spaces or symbols
- They were removed. You will see your new handle the next time you sign in.
- Someone who joined before you had the same name, or yours used other alphabets
- You are asked to choose a new handle when you sign in. Chat stays locked until you do.
